About Carla Miller Training

We’re a training and coaching company that helps you equip your managers and leaders with the knowledge, confidence and skills they ned to succeed. Founded and led by Carla Miller, we now have a small team of associate facilitators and coaches who embody our values and bring their own experiences and insights to our training.

Our story…

Unlike most training companies, we started by running open courses.  After a decade coaching women leaders 1:1 Carla noticed themes to the challenges that they were facing and the mindset issues those challenges created.  She saw the potential in bringing women together to share experiences and Influence & Impact was piloted in late 2019.

Since then over 500 women have been through Influence & Impact.  We’re proud of the fact that many of those women self-funded their training, choosing to invest their own money because this was exactly what they needed.

As we’ve grown our offers we’ve kept our focus on creating training that meets women, managers and leaders where they are and gives them a sense of agency and self-belief. We think it’s a unique and highly effective approach.

Whilst we still deliver women focused versions of our courses we now also deliver all of our training programmes in gender neutral versions for our clients.

Today we offer open courses and have also partnered with global companies like AtkinsRealis and Moloco, government agencies, universities such as King’s College London and many national charities to deliver in-house training and coaching.

We think we’re the perfect size – big enough to manage multiple cohorts and work with global companies and small enough to be very human, warm and flexible in our approach.

Our approach to training…

We create engaging, uplifting and highly practical learning experiences that directly tackle the challenges that our participants face.

  1. We invest a lot of time listening to the pain points that managers and leaders experience in their daily working lives
  2. We create training that directly addresses those issues, making it powerful, practical and easy to apply
  3. We create learning spaces that feel safe, encouraging and energising where participants uplift and support each other

4. We increase understanding of gender bias, enabling women to recognise that they don’t need fixing and encouraging them to lead their way

5. We do this in an upbeat, positive way with warmth and humour
