It’s now widely accepted that companies that have a greater representation of women at board level outperform organisations that don’t by significant levels. A recent report demonstrated that profits by Fortune 100 companies with a female CEO were significantly higher. Yet we know that when it comes to leadership, women face unique challenges.

Women struggle to get their voices heard
and to influence upwards:

  • 50% of women get interrupted 50% of the time in meetings
  • 70% of men rate men more highly than women for achieving the same goals
  • 38% of women have experienced others taking credit for their ideas
  • 40% less airtime is given to women in meetings unless they significantly outnumber men

This gender bias has a significant impact on women’s confidence, career prospects and advancement, making it harder for companies to retain women and consequently reach their gender equity goals.

Our work is not just about supporting women to get a seat at the table and secure senior roles.
